These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of services, tools, resources, information and content (collectively the “Services”) provided by mapoflove.org, including, without limitation, the Map of Love website (https://www.mapoflove.org), the interactive map build on Zeemaps (including, but not limited to MapID: 3818745) and our workspace at Slack (https://map-of-love.slack.com). In these Terms, “you” or the “User” refers to any person using the Services.

In order to use the Services for any reason, including, without limitation, to browse through the website, enter your information in the interactive map or participate in our Slack workspace you must first accept and agree to abide by these Terms.

In addition to the terms and conditions set forth below, the "Impressum - Legal Notice" and "Datenschutz" are incorporated by reference into these Terms and apply to your use of the Services.

The Services are based on different platforms built by third party providers, for offline and online activities. These platforms are included in our site for the convenience of Users. By visiting our site and using our Services you accept the Terms of Service/Use and privacy policies of such underlying platforms.

This website (www.mapoflove.org) is built based on the platform provided and hosted by wix.com Wix.com Ltd. Namal 40, 6350671 Tel Aviv, Israel. Adults Only

This website is intended for adults only. You affirm that you are either more than 18 years of age, or an emancipated minor, or possess legal parental or guardian consent, and are fully able and competent to enter into the terms, conditions, obligations, affirmations, representations, and warranties set forth in these Terms of Use, and to abide by and comply with these Terms of Use. In any case, you affirm that you are over the age of 13, as the website is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13 years of age, then please do not use the website and our Services as there are lots of other great web sites for you. Talk to your parents about what sites are appropriate for you.

Mapoflove.org reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time, and without prior notice, by posting amended terms at this website. All changes will take effect immediately on being posted. Your continued use of the Services indicates your acceptance of the Terms of Use as amended and then in effect.

Information Collected

Whenever you access our website, the server(s) must know and records (logs) certain standard technical information such as the numerical Internet protocol (IP) address of the device you are using; the browser software type and version used and your operating system; the Internet address of the website from which you followed a link (Referrer URL); and the time of your access. Our hosting provider Wix.com uses access logs to help detect errors, monitor for malicious intrusion, evaluate performance and data which helps adapt the offerings to the needs of the users. In addition, our website, or our third party analytics providers (currently google analytics), providers of content (linked images for example) or third party providers for underlying platforms (e.g. zeemaps.com, google.com, slack.com) may also record data that includes this technical information.

The logs of access to our web services may include additional data such as

Our Service to enable users to place virtual pins into the "Map of Love" is built on the platform built by zeemaps.com (Zee Source, 21060 Homestead Road, Suite 150, Cupertino, CA 95014, USA). By using the “Map of Love” you agree to the Terms of Use https://www.zeemaps.com/terms and Privacy policies https://www.zeemaps.com/privacy of zeemaps.com in addition to the Terms of Use of the "Map of Love".

Google Maps

Google Maps is used by Zeemaps.com as the underlying map service. By using the Services you accept the Terms of Service and Privacy policies of Google (Google LLC,1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) Google Terms of Service: https://policies.google.com/?hl=en-US and Google Maps Additional Terms of Service https://www.google.com/intl/en_us/help/terms_maps/.

Google Calendar/Google Forms

The community calendar is built on the Google Calendar platform. The content shared in the announcements as well as in any event listed in the community calendar is the sole responsibility of the responsible organizer of the event. The calendar is publicly visible. In oder to post events on the calendar a Google form is used. By using our Services to announce events, you accept the Terms of Service and Privacy policies of Google (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) https://policies.google.com/?hl=en-US.

Slack workspace

Many of the community activities, such as forums and discussions utilize the platform of Slack.com. To participate in the Slack workspace, you must register first (please refer to the terms outlined under "Registration" as part of these Terms). By entering and/or using the community workspace within the Slack platform, you agree to the terms of service and privacy terms of Slack.com (https://slack.com/intl/en-de/terms-of-service) in addition to the Code of Conduct outlining the rules which apply to the Map of Love workspace at Slack (map-of-love.slack.com).

External Links

We also share links to other sites solely for the convenience of the Users of this website. We have no control over such external sites and do not endorse nor are we responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products or materials on or available from such external sites and resources.

Registration

To use certain Services (e.g. Slack workspace), you must be a registered User. With your registration, you agree: (i) to provide the required information requested in the registration process; and (ii) to ensure the information you provide is accurate; and (iii) you confirm that you have read and that you accept these Terms of Use and the Code of Conduct.

To access to the interactive map at Zeemaps.com you will receive a Password following your registration/access request. By requesting the access, you agree in addition to the registration terms mentioned above: (i) to keep that password confidential and not share it with others; and (ii) keep all information of other users, which is visible to you in the map, confidential and must not share or use for any purpose any such information.

During the registration process for the Slack workspace, you must provide an email address and select a User Name and Password for your individual account. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your email address/User Name and Password, and for all activities that occur under your account, including all content uploaded or posted, statements made, or acts or omissions that occur through the use of your User Name and Password.

We reserve the right to disable an account if we suspect that an unauthorized person is using the account or if you provide fraudulent or misleading information or otherwise do not comply with these Terms, the Code of Conduct or the Privacy policy (for example, giving a false email address when registering). If you learn of any unauthorized use of your User Name or Password, you agree to notify us immediately. mapoflove.org disclaims and is in no way liable for any claims related to the use or misuse of your User Name and Password.

Data you provide

As the interactive map at zeemaps.com and the Slack workspace can be accessed by a large community, be mindful when sharing your details. Only share what you are comfortable with. Your contribution to the interactive map and discussions in the channels of Slack including text, pictures, audio files, contact details, including email addresses and phone numbers, shall be deemed to be public information.

By sharing information, you warrant that you have all the rights to do so. You are prohibited from sharing any unlawful or otherwise objectionable material of any kind. Please respect the information shared by other participants of the map or in any other Services and do not share with or otherwise disclose to third parties personal data of other participants or Users.

mapoflove.org will not use or sell information to third parties.

Although we try our best to protect the site, electronic communications through sites may not be secure. There is always a risk, that personal information and other data may be accessed by unauthorized third parties through piracy or malware. By using the Services, you accept and acknowledge this risk.
